In business, it is impossible to do all the work yourself, and as your business will grow you will have to employ more and more people. For many companies wages is the highest expense they have, so it is extremely important to use labour efficiently. People in organisation should have all equipment needed, should now their tasks, and last but not least be motivated and trained.
MOTIVATION

training
There are three main types of training:
1) Induction training
This is done when person stars their job with the company. Usually a senior manager (and or HR) will explain more about the history of the company, what is expected of the worker and who are the important people for the new worker (co-workers and immediate superiors).
2) On the job training
This is where a new worker is trained by watching a more experienced worker do the job. This is usually only suitable for low or semi-skilled work.
3) Off site training
Where the worker goes away to a different place for training eg gaining a certificate or other qualification at a training centre.
This will be cheaper for the business to use types 1 and 2 but the worker doing this training will probably be less productive for a while (as they have to carefully show the new worker everything)

REDUNDANCY AND DISMISSA
This can be because
1. The employees work is not satisfactory.
When work is not satisfactory, or the employee has done something seriously wrong eg stealing then this is called dismissal. In the United Kingdom, the dismissal process is complicated and if not done correctly then it can be challenged in Employment Court.
The general process is:
2. Business do not need so many employees
When the business is closing down or is having cash flow problems it needs to save money by getting rid of employees, or has introduced new technology that can take workers place
In this case workers receive a payment as compensation and this is often set by law, e.g. 2 weeks pay for every year
Redundancy can either be voluntary or involuntary. For example, if the number of workers needs to be reduced by 20%, the company may call for volunteers first.
